Yesterday, being sports day, was absolutely exhausting for me yet after work I had to arrange dinner for my dad and then ran (via bus!) down the road to attend a talk by the American Suhaib Webb - which was absolutely fantastic.
May Allah reward this brother for explaining and highlighting things about Islamic family life and the Sahabah and Sahabiyaat that I always took for granted but did not have the words to explain or illuminate. He humanized them and demystified their lives for the listening audience.
He did so with clarity, humour and above all, honesty. There are very rarely any ambiguous issues in Islam and therefore the Sheikh did not dissemble and waste our time - he was clear and direct, something which I really appreciated.
