The weather is glorious outside and I just had an extremely fun day at work. Sports day - a huge day in the kids lives and a very fun day for me, though exhausting!
I really enjoyed watching the kids have a laugh, race around, have a "Grande Prix" but tricycle style!!! It was great having the parents round cheering their little ones on and the highlight of the day was having the parents racing!! Very competitive I must say!
The sun is shining in all the glory and there a cool summers breeze blowing to enhance the beauty of the day and suddenly I want nothing more than to go on holiday.
Ok so some of the best holidays I have ever had have come about suddenly or even spontaneously - take Egypt for example, one minute we were talking about it hypothetically and the next thing I knew I had just spent a considerable amount of money by booking tickets.
I like to plan my holidays - I like to know where i'm going and basically what I'm doing or want to do. I do not have to have planned every last detail... where's the fun in that?! however, if I'm going to Egypt, for example, I wanna know which cities and what attractions.
I havnt been on a holiday for so so sooooooooo long - I feel totally deprived! I really want to jet off somewhere with friends, be it Paris, Spain, Italy, Scotland or Ireland. I want to experience new things, talk to different people, learn about another culture and most of all just walk off the stress of the year and be FREE.
The allure of the holiday.
I wish I cud just walk out and go book something. So I'd know I'm going somewhere but unfortunately all my plans are up in the air still about my summer hols. Come on people - get in gear!!

Sports day was always funny at school!! The 3-legged race, egg and spoon, sack race...that was good ole primary school. Than secondary school we got the dreaded cross country run whether it rain or snow!!!:-s
At least you have some plans for a holiday even if they are up in the air at the moment!!lol
yep - plus in primary schools u have the cuteness factor!
Ur high school sports day sounds serious - we did races but still did egg and spoon and all that too... the fun stuff :-D
my plans for the summer are along the ines of "mayb we'll all go to scotland...." - hardly there!
