I love and adore this song - its a real golden oldie.
The woman singing the song is in love with the man whom her sister is marrying, and thought he loved her too. BUT since he is now engaged to marry her sister, whom she adores, she can do nothing, she has to try and hide her heartache and be happy for her sister.
She sings this song as a result of those feelings, saying that the man she is in love with, his name is Raja, will come and marry her sister and she will dance at their wedding regardless of everything...
Its a really heartbreaking song, of betrayal, yearning, love and sacrifice...
Turns out in the end he does love her as well but had a very bad case of TB and therefore didnt want to make her a widow and let her watch him die..... although thats fine for her sister to go through!
