Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
William Shakespeare
I look around me and I see that many of my friends are married and are getting married.
And I wonder.... what makes two people decide to marry each other?
Why that specific other person? What is it that draws 2 minds, 2 people together?
In some ways this is still a huge mystery to me, and I sometimes get the feeling that
it always will be. And mayb thats how it should be.... if the mystery, the surprise was revealed all the fun
would be over.
By fun I mean what I see my dear dear friends go through... the anxiety, the stress, the rushing around,
the shopping, the arguments - like I said, the fun! :-)
But the question remains - why him? Of course you could have done lots of Istikhara and you're marrying him
because you are trusting Allah's decisions for you. Thats the best way I think.
Of course, I don't know.
