I love kids. Thats just the way I am. They are little miracles - each one unique and interesting.
As I work in a primary school I get to hang out with kids everyday and theyhave this amazing capacity for appreciating life and absorbing knowledge. Each day is new and wonderful and exciting.

I love cuddling them and telling them little stories - their little laughs and giggles are inspiring to me. I love the way they turn to me for comfort or just a smile. They fill my heart with love for this world.

I have been blessed with the gift of getting along with kids and having them get along with me - we can have some fun times at the school. Unfortunately not everyone has this ability to understand or get along with kids. Some people find them annoying or irritating, others just cant be bothered or dont know what to do with them. Others try to bully and shout the kids into doing what they want.

We have one such staff member at my work place - while she is a great person, as a teacher she is not so hot. She starts of being aggressive with the kids, shouting and sort-of bullying them. Thats not the way to get kids doing anything - for if u start of shouting u have nowhere to go, its not like u can then raise ur voice to express ur annoyance at their misbehaving.

Some people do not understand the different needs of children of different ages - they treat 4 yr olds the same as 12 yr olds..... the difference is vast. A 4 yr old will have problems understanding complex instructions and multitasking - while older children will have aquired these life skills to some degree.

I dont understand people who do not get along with kids - I think children are fabulous fun! But if you do not have the ability or the patience or the fortitude to be with kids then for Gods Sake- DON'T!! Go work in some other fields, down give birth... just stay away. It will just stress u and the kids out.
