I have just got back home and am still on a high from a night of spiritual replenishment and love. I spent the night at the MYF masjid reading Quran and tahajjud prayers and it has replenished and rejuvinated me in a lot of ways alhamdulillah.
It was just what I needed and all I had to do was go to the masjid and put my forehead to the ground and ask.
Subhanallah, there is nothing like putting your forehead to the ground and prostrating to your Creator, the creator of everything - totally submitting yourself to Him. There is a peace and contentment to be found in such humbleness; in handing over all your worries and problems over to your Lord and supplicating to Him.
I found tears in my eyes a number of times this past night as I thought of what an ungrateful and disobedient slave I was - it rarely occurs to us in our day to day lives that every second of our day, and every cell of our being and every atom of this vast universe belongs only to Allah, our God. Our selfish and wordly worries are nothing - everything is His and our return is to Him alone.
Allah has told us our purpose in this world is to worship Him - and He has shown us many many ways to do so. So many that our every moment could be, should be, in worship to Him, as is His right.
