This is a late comment - about your grandfather.
There are some people and I think "I'll never forgive them."
And the reason I think it is because then I think I have something over them...if they don't ask me for forgiveness, and I don't forgive them before Judgement Day, then they're in a little bit of trouble...
And also 'coz it seems so unfair. People are so mean to us sometimes, and they never even say sorry, and they don't care what they've done, but we are still encouraged to forgive them...
But maybe that's more for us than for them...so we don't live having even a little bitterness in us because that harms us so much. Put a spoon of vinegar in a glass of water and you'll see how it affects the whole thing.
And people are stubborn you know! Sometimes they are so sorry but are never brave enough to say it to us; they have misplaced pride! So maybe they are making du'aa for us every day, with true sincerity, and we never realise it.
And this is the major thing - Justice will be done, and Allah (swt) is the Most Just. So take the advice of the Messenger of Allah (saw), and show mercy to others even those who have wronged you, and try your very best to forgive them.
But Justice will be done. So don't worry about it :-). Have Certainty in Allah (swt)'s Promise.
