the chaos theory...

The Chaos Theory, or at least one part of it called The Butterfly Effect, the phrase refers to the idea that a butterfly's wings might create tiny changes in the atmosphere that ultimately cause a tornado to appear (or, for that matter, prevent a tornado from appearing). The flapping wing represents a small change in the initial condition of the system, which causes a chain of events leading to large-scale phenomena. Had the butterfly not flapped its wings, the trajectory of the system might have been vastly different.

This particular theory reminds me of many of the current events happening in this world of mine. Some stupid person does some stupid, mindless, thoughtless act and some other stupid, mindless, thoughtless person acts out against that original act in a bigger way. A few examples:
9/11 -> Afghanistan
Afghanistan -> Iraq
and so on......

And who suffers???- the innocent civilians who couldnt care less about world politics, wishing everyone would just leave them to live out their lives and let justice prevail.

I can see events spiralling out of control - we have bigots and extremists on all sides of the fence and they are all as psychotic and sociopathic as each other.... Bush, Blair, Bin Ladin - they are all the same in my eyes... so long as you kill innocents indiscrimnately.
There is no such thing as "collatoral damage" when it comes to lives Mr Bush and Mr Blair. How dare you even suggest it? If life is so cheap - then fight for your country. Bring back our soldiers and you fight. Send your kids! No??? Then stop risking other peoples children for something only you believe in some part of your own twisted mind.

We, the sane, have a message for you - we will survive. You wont. Your bigoted, extremist, mass murdering, inhumane policies will die out with you.(Kinda like a Mr Bush line - but then I had to keep the syllables down so he could understand - awww....)

Coincidentally I'm at this moment listening to Gloria Gaynors "I will survive" - it fits.
