laptop heaven....

Dearly beloved... (!)... we are gathered here today to talk about the death of my laptop.

Which will NOT turn on! Ugh! What is it with me and computers - they all seem to break down around me! I'd like to think its my electric personality.... but hey, I doubt it.Not much, but I do :-)

Anyways, excitement at my house. One of the housemates has moved out and is holding the keys to the house hostage - saying we will get the keys back when we give her her deposit back. We never said we weren't gonna give her the deposit back!!! What is it with these people?! She has been rude, unreasonable and, AND, has accused us of trying to conn her out of her deposit. Well... excuse us for being polite and helpful! If she wants to be nreasonable - fine. So can I. And trust me, I'm good at it - I come from the family and the nation that invented unreasonable and illogical. Me and my sister try and be polite and helpful, but if all we r gonna get in return is swearing, unreasonableness (is that a word?) and aggravation - well, we have a limit. She, the housemate, has just crossed it. Enough is enough.
She doesnt wanna give back the keys -fine. We dont wanna give back the deposit. Thats a heathy profit of a couple of hundred pounds minus the charge for changing the locks on the doors.
Ha! See how u like that.
I am sick of always being the nice and polite one - u be nice to people, they do an American on u and kick ur ass and call u names. I feel like Lebanon, betrayed by those I did my best to be nice to (i.e. the West). Dammit!
Whats wrong with these people - did their parents not teach them manners???

Sometimes it seems you are of the few who even got taught manners.... not just in this case but I notice it everywhere. For example on the bus, people dont get up and give up their seats for the elderly or infirm anymore, even heavily pregnant ladies are on their own!
What can one expect of a world where manners is just not a priority anymore???

And to top it all of, this housemate is not the only one causing problems - another one owes money, and borrowed a quilt which hasnt been returned even though we keep asking for it. Why cant people just do what they say they will??? Why cant they just do the right thing???? Instead of creating aggro for me and my sis???

WE have enough stress with all the other rubbish happening in our lives - we do not need this.

Oh and more news.... my grandad, who has been seriously ill recently with cancer, diabetes, TB and arthritis, has just had more tests to see how his TB is going and if the opertaion they did to remove the tumour from his gallbladder was successful in stopping the spread of cancer.
Good news and bad news - the TB has halved (good), but has spread to his liver (bad) and the cancer is gone from the gallbladder area (good) but has infact spread to the stomach (bad).
So... please make dua (pray) for him and for the rest of us.
