That was beautiful. If only more muslims went out, met and talked to people of other faiths, then I'm sure neo-cons and others paranoid groups would not be as powerful in their scare tactics as they are today. American government is waking up to a new reality: That it cannot always get away with stepping on other people and nations. Ed.

It so true - one of my gripes about the Muslim community is that they are so insular. We are part of a COMMUNITY, a society - we need to express ourselves, our passions and our faith. Only then can we be understood and accepted as being "normal"!
My best friend is a non-muslim, blond haired, blue-eyed giant and I love her to bits, yet when I walk down the street with her we still get weird looks from both sides. U'd think that after 10 years of friendship ppl would be used to it!
