I was just reading The Times and how a couple who are suspected of committing fraud are stalling their extradition to the US (yep another lot!). And then I came across this juicy little extract:
"The Tollmans are poised to follow the NatWest Three for trial in the US under a controversial law allowing American prosecutors to demand suspects from Britain without producing evidence."
See that bit in bold?! Whats that all about?!
How can u be able to transport people across continents on the basis of no bloody evidence? This is another one of those "Guantanamo laws" - i.e. we shall do whatever we want, regardless of civil liberties or rights.
And I can bet u a million dollars I dont have, that the US would never extradite anyone to us like that! NEVER EVER EVER!
Hell, the US have refused to extradite dictators to face the Criminal courts for War Crimes - never mind anything else!
UGH!
