So basically this is a pic of me, before I left the house for the demo. But Lam wouldnt let me go out like this - wearing the Palestinian scarf on my head. She said it would not be advisable, cos we live in a Jewish neighbourhood. I dont see how that should make a difference - I support those who are being wronged. I am showing my solidarity with them. If they cannot understand that, then that is a factor lacking in them not me. Lam pointed out that these neighbours might complain about it to our landlord - to which replied, "isnt it my human right to express my views?! If they complain, arnt they infringing on my freedom of speech and my freedom of thought? Isnt that wat the US and Britain are fighting about right now, in Iraq, in Afghanistan???"
But I took the scarf off - ugh!
And I love this pic of Lamees. I just think its says so much. I dont know WHY! I just its beautiful - shes beautiful, the way the sun falls on her slightly sun-burnt skin! Lol :-)

Also went to an IslamExpo dinner today - to celebrate it all being over and succesful. Its been really nice to hear about all you peoples experiences at the Expo - good or bad. Atleast you came, you took something away from the Expo and I hope, Insha'allah (Godwilling), you all took something away that u learned.
I know I learnt something, not just from the exhibition but from working at IslamExpo and working with such a huge variety of people - from so many different different backgrounds.
Ok so here is a pic of us girls after we had stuffed ourselves at the expo dinner. We went to a place called Behesht (apparently means paradise in farsi) - an Iranian restaurant. With absolutely scrumptious food. Its good food and they give you plenty of it!!!
The guys inhaled it. No I dont mean they ate it - I mean they inhaled it - one minute there was food on the table, u blinked and it was gone!! Magic! lol
