Day 6

OK so yesterday I woke up at 10am-ish again. God knows why... I'm kinda like on holiday, u know! Anyways, here I seem to be the one who gets up first..... see at the moment I am waiting for Madiha and Saniya (my cousins) to roll out of bed. Infact, not only am I up but I'm completely ready too!!! How could this happen?! lol

So we got up and we got ready and then we took an incredibly scenic and beautiful route to Kingston where Queens uni is based. OMG ppl, I cannot tell u how beautiful it is. Lakes and hills and trees.... the water is like blue sparkling sapphires, and lakes are everywhere. Its stunning. And yes I took lots of pics.... hell I even took a pic of me hugging a tree! :-)

The weather was amazing yesterday too, so everything was bathed in golden sunshine. It all looks so fresh and clean. Picton, Canada only has a population of about 4000 and is so quiet and peaceful, its incredibly tranquil.

Kingston is an old town, used to be the capital of Canada long, long ago. Its got old architecture, which I have to say is much better that the new Canadian architecture. Its a quiant place, filled with peaceful people, and surrounded by the gentle rolling beauty of this part of Canada. The town is pretty much filled with students.... and they have a Naval base here too. So plenty of guys in uniform walking around!

I had a chat with some people at the university regarding some courses (the people I actually wanted to see weren't in, so the conversations were brief!). Anyway, I finally found someone I needed to talk to from an MSc I was really interested in. This lady was really friendly and informative, and also very chatty. She helped me a lot and gave me a feel for the course and the university. I might just apply here, its a good course, that looks very interesting and its got a stunning setting. Lamsee would love to visit here.... lots of water sports around!!!

We then ate at a Thai place - yummy food and so cheap! I love this conversion from $ into pounds... my money just doubles!!! If only the feeling would last. I am getting that guilty feeling in my stomach that I'v spent too much money..... but I havn't bought anything except my shoes and sunglasses. No one will even let me pay for anything. I think maybe I've spent 30quid so far!!! (lamees will be so proud!) lol

When we got home we sat around and chatted as the sun set, which it does beautifully over here - over the lakes.

I playes with Sulaikha and Aisha, my two little cousins. We played catch and some other ball games which kids play. We played them right outside, near the gas pumps..... its all so child friendly here. It was no problems for the kids to be out like this - hell, they can even leave the doors unlocked!!!! I know! How amazing is that?!

I then went cycling around Picton with Sulaikha and Aisha - it was dark but so quiet and safe that no one thought twice about the kids being out. I really enjoyed cycling again after like 10 years!!! It was so fun, so liberating....so FUN! lol

We then went and set outside a house Hajrah (another cousin) was being tutored in cos Aisha, the little one, got tired. She's so funny. And so moody! lol

We lay back on the pavement and looked at the stars (which look very different from our stars back home...). Let me repeat this, in the middle of town, we lay back on a pavement and looked at the stars!!! You can't do that in England! I had the most interesting chat with Aisha, who is so totally "gori" its incredible. Lol. She is totally Canadian.

We finally came home from our cycling trip. Had hot dogs for dinner. Went got some junk food from a genuine Canadian "mart" and watched some Indian movie, which we then got too tired to finish and so went to bed. Lol
