Here comes the bride....

(in aid of SM read the following in a nigerian accent) OMG! WHAT A DAY! (end of accent)

An 11am train to Manchester with Sondes on which we both fell asleep! U'd know how weird that is if you knew - because I have never before fallen asleep on a train (except the sleeper train in Egypt - which I'm sure u'll all agree is a different case). Anyway I'm not sure how long I slept. Oh and first class travel aint all that plusher than standard class - i know that now!lol
After getting off the train a run to the the hairdressers to get my hair done (my God it needed a trim!) and then tto H's party!
Non-stop! And it was so hot! Its ridiculous that I wait for the hot weather all year, every year but when it comes, not only do i get sunburnt but it kinda becomes a bit inconvenient. But nevertheless - I am glad it was sunny and not raining! That would surely have wrecked all my plans. (its another equally if not more busy day tomorrow!)

Subhanallah! I find it hard to believe that yet another one of my gang is getting married.... especially Heidi. Not that there is anything wrong with her, on the contrary... she is beautiful, intelligent, funny, friendly.... she is a great sister. But she was always so fussy! lol But I suppose Allah has created someone for everyone out there - and Heidi has found her other half. May Allah grant them both success and happiness, in this life and the next.

It was her surprise pre-wedding party today and I think her face showed just how surprised she was - it was funny. She was so shocked it took her half the party to get over it.

And the party itself - well wow! Girls I have to say you surpassed yourselves! There was a red theme and most of the beautiful decorations were in shades of red, and most of the girls wore red. And they all looked amazing!
Its amazing how a simple colour like red can be interpreted in so many ways. SO many shades of red, all the way from maroon to scarlet to crimson. All styles. Dresses, trousers, skirts, tops... all very sexy!
The music was great. The dancing even better. It was nice to be with the gang again partying - its been too long girls! We were slightly outta practice but we soon enough got back into our dancing! Do u think we shocked anyone?! lol

I am so glad it was possible to be here. Tonight. With all of my lovely friends. So glad it was made possible. So grateful to Allah that I had an opportunity to see H before she went off to get married, grateful to see all my freinds. All of us chilling out.
It felt good.
It felt like being home.
My friends, the love I feel for them, makes this home.
